There is no need to call  the surgery and check if your prescription is ready. Other than circumstances out of our control (medication supply issues) it will be ready for you to collect.

Please telephone the surgery (01653 648 260) before 10:00 if you need an urgent appointment for the same day. A number of appointment times are reserved specifically for on-the-day emergencies but you may also book in advance for routine requirements.

Appointment slots are generally 15 minutes in length.   If you have more than one problem to discuss or you feel that your consultation is likely to be a lengthy one, please book a double appointment.

Please arrive on time for your appointment and tell our receptionists that you have arrived before you take a seat in our waiting room.

When taking appointment bookings our receptionists may ask you for a brief indication of your problem for triaging purposes. Your doctors have asked them to do this to ensure that you see the right person for the right length of time for the problem you wish to discuss.  All members of our staff are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as your doctors.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible to facilitate the appointment slot being made available for another patient.
